Today, employees are more likely to bring in new technologies on their own—and to do so enthusiastically—through their Web browser, whether it’s starting a blog, setting up a wiki to share knowledge, or collaborating on documents hosted online. Andrew McAfee, principal research scientist at the Center for Digital Business at the MIT Sloan School of Management, has been watching this shift closely. His new book, Enterprise 2.0: New Collaborative Tools for your Organization’s Toughest Challenges, explores the ways that leading organizations are bringing Web 2.0 tools inside. of the Oxford Social Media Convention focused on the impact of social media. Especially interesting were the statements on the panel 'Breaking news: the changing relationships between blogs and mainstream media'.&lt;br /&gt;Richard Sambrook, the director of the BBC Global News Division, said that the impact of social media was overestimated in the short term and underestimated in long term. Les widgets de bureau proposent habituellement des informations ou des divertissements. Par exemple, certains affichent les cours de la bourse ou des informations météorologiques alors que d'autres permettent de jouer à des jeux vidéos.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Widget : Pourquoi ?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Le principal avantage des Widgets est de permettre aux marketeurs de communiquer auprès des consommateurs directement sur leur bureau.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Les avantages du widget marketing sont nombreux. En voici quelques-uns :&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;» La distribution d'un widget repose sur la base de l'opt-in, les utilisateurs choisissant de le l'obtenir. Il s'agit donc d'un moyen de communication considéré comme n'étant pas intrusif par le consommateur.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;» Ils permettent de communiquer en temps réel. Contrairement à l'e-mailing, dont la consultation par les destinataires est diluée dans le temps, les widgets permettent d'annoncer instantanément auprès des internautes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;» Ils instaurent une relation durable avec la marque. Il instaure de nouveaux comportements, de nouvelles règles”, indiquait une équipe de chercheurs voici quelques années. Cette révolution a maintenant un nom : le “web 2.0”. &lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Quelques exemples de sites web&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Les sites de contenus e-learning à la façon web 2.0 font leur apparition. L’offre de contenus est émergente mais, si ces sites trouvent un public, elle devrait s’étoffer rapidement grâce à la contribution des membres des communautés de créateurs et des outils qui sont mis à leur disposition. Et ceux que l’on suppose être les puissants sont désemparés. Comment les dircoms peuvent-ils maîtriser le discours des multinationales face aux propos incontrôlés des internautes se propageant comme des traînées de poudre ? Comment les patrons et leurs DRH vont-ils faire comprendre et partager leurs objectifs à leurs équipes alors que peuvent fleurir autant de blogs contestataires qu’il y a de salariés ? Les chefs de produits et les directeurs commerciaux ne sont-ils pas dans une situation tout aussi difficile face à la dynamique de prescription et de conseil entre internautes court-circuitant les systèmes de vente bien huilés ? Il faut se rendre à l’évidence : ni la puissance de feu des différents discours des élites ni la diffusion massive de contenus par les lieux de pouvoir ne peuvent endiguer les « petits tas de paroles massivement parallèles » de Monsieur Lambda et de Madame Machinchose.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;En attente de nouveaux modes de fonctionnement&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Le mythe libertaire du web, jardin d’Eden des pionniers du réseau va-t-il reprendre des couleurs ? Le fumet appétissant de la subversion émoustille sans doute les plus romantiques des internautes. Cependant, l’espoir de voir s’effondrer le vieux monde pour laisser triompher l’utopie n’a pas grand sens. Nous sommes au contraire face à une dynamique structurante. Le double mouvement de la numérisation et de la mondialisation crée des attentes, des usages, des pratiques, des manières de penser, des formes d’interactivité qui appellent de nouveaux modes de fonctionnement social. Nous assistons à l’émergence d’un nouvel ordre plus complexe et obéissant à des règles du jeu différentes. La situation n’est pas plus incontrôlable qu’avant. Mais elle ne se contrôle pas de la même manière. Quelles sont ces nouvelles règles du jeu ?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Le pouvoir c'est le contrôle des consciences&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Rien n’est encore figé pour l’instant. Cependant, quelques principes se font jour. On ne peut plus se contenter d’imposer un discours, il faut savoir convaincre. On ne peut ignorer les critiques et les remises en cause. Il faut les accepter, y répondre avec subtilité et contre argumenter. On ne peut plus donner des ordres. Il faut faire comprendre et mobiliser. Il ne suffit plus de savoir, il faut maîtriser « la connaissance de la connaissance » pour guider ceux qui disposent désormais d’un libre accès au savoir. Etc., etc. Ces règles laissent supposer que les nouveaux modes de fonctionnement social impliquent une place plus importante au partage de la connaissance, au partage des projets et à la conscience individuelle. Cela ne peut que faire vibrer notre fibre humaniste. Mais, le visage avenant du soft power ne doit pas nous faire perdre de vue que la clé du pouvoir réside désormais dans le contrôle des consciences et qu’à ce titre, le web peut aussi être une arme redoutable. Et, côté technologies les mobiles sont au centre de cette réflexion. En ce moment, à la pointe de la nouveauté, on trouve les "MoSoSos". De quoi s'agit-il ? Encore une fois d'un acronyme qui signifie Mobiles Social Softwares, c'est-à-dire littéralement : "les logiciels sociaux pour mobiles". Un MoSoSo est un logiciel à installer sur votre ordinateur portable, votre PDA (Wi-Fi) ou votre téléphone mobile permettant de vous situer à tout moment. Vous aurez ainsi la possibilité de savoir si vos amis sont dans les environs ou d'en savoir plus sur les gens qui assistent à la même conférence que vous à l'instant T... On imagine facilement les prolongements possibles de ce type de système ! Attention toutefois à ne pas verser dans un optimisme prématuré : en 2000, certains analystes pensaient et annonçaient que l'avenir de l'e-commerce résidait dans le M-commerce (M pour mobile).
